We would like to say a big thank-you, as we recently received some very generous donations.
After Lorraine Blakley’s recent truck raffle win, she wanted to donate $1000 of her winnings back to a local charity. Peter Herritt with Mighty Peace Chevrolet Buick GMC suggested the Peace Palliative Care Society in memory of Sherrie Wagner, and matched Lorraine’s donation for a total of $2000 donated! In addition, Rob Wagner, also with Mighty Peace Chevrolet Buick GMC donated $1000 in memory of his wife Sherrie. Our society has also been receiving numerous donations in Sherrie’s name from her family and friends.
We would like to extend a special thank-you on behalf of the Peace Palliative Care Society for all these very gracious donations!

In spring of 2021, Rexall Pharmacy stores led a bubble campaign initiative to fundraise for various charities across Canada. The Peace Palliative Care Society was selected as the charity of choice in the Alberta area.
On behalf of the Peace Palliative Care Society, thank you to the Rexall Care Network and to the Management and Staff of Alberta stores. We appreciate your efforts and dedication to fundraising to support our cause.

A New Bed for End of Life Clients
Darcy Forman and Troy Robinson of Canadian Natural present Brandi Campbell and Nancy Ethier a cheque for $25,000 to Peace Palliative Care Society.
Thanks to Canadian Natural, clients at end-of-life will be able to rest on a brand new Umano Medical Bed at the Peace River Community Health Centre. On Thursday, April 8, 2021, Darcy Forman and Troy Robinson of Canadian Natural presented a cheque for $25,000 to the Peace Palliative Care Society towards the purchase of a Umano Medical Bed that will allow those who have a terminal or life-limiting condition to rest comfortably in acute care. This top of the line design also allows for expansion, to allow the dying person’s loved ones to be able to cuddle in the bed with them.
Brandi Campbell, President of the Peace Palliative Care Society notes that this bed will be a welcome edition to the PRCHC due to the state of the art design, comfort, pressure reduction and safety.
Brandi has confirmed that the bed will be ordered in the coming weeks, and the PPCS is looking forward to its arrival and circulation on the unit. Until then, the PPCS has vowed to continue finding ways to help serve and advocate for those who have a terminal or life-limiting condition.
The Peace Palliative Care Society would like to extend its heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Canadian Natural for their generous donation.
